Our on-site MEWP operator training centre offers various levels of training, ranging from fully-accredited courses through to condensed single machine short courses, as well as machine handover and familiarisation training. All MEWP training courses are led by relevant qualified and accredited demonstrators, facilitators, assessors and moderators.
Our MEWP training facility is based at the Need-A-Tool headquarters in New Germany, Durban. Our classroom is suitable for up to TEN students at a time, with access to multiple MEWP models and designs for training purposes. While we are willing to train MEWP operators on your site and using your machines, we prefer to train operators at our premises. This way we can train operators on several machines, resulting in better, more qualified operators who are able to operate more MEWPs than just a cherrypicker.
At our MEWP training facility, all of the provided training material, as well as our MEWP instructors, are regularly assessed by the SETAs and the Institute for Work at Heights to ensure that we maintain a high standard of MEWP training.
Our MEWP training facility has submitted an application to and has been provisionally accredited by, the Department of Education as a private college. As such, we are also required to maintain a high standard of administration as a skills training provider.
The operator training course includes training on the following:
